Course Description

The course is designed to enhance life skills, develop independence and to offer opportunities to progress into further education or training for students with Special Education Needs.

The course:

  • Delivers learning through a range of classroom based activities and enrichment trips.
  • Develops independence and confidence
  • Develops English, maths and ICT.
  • Provides the opportunity to develop social and communication skills.
  • Supports students learning through Learning Support Assistants.
  • Entry Requirements

  • Successful interview with course tutor.
  • Students should be working towards Entry 1 in English and Maths.
  • Updated S139a (moving forward plan), statement or an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan).
