Course Description
This course is designed for experienced hairdressers who are working in the industry. Students will learn advanced cutting techniques, finishing, styling, creative fashion colouring and perming. Additionally, students will contribute towards promotional activities, financial management, Health and Safety and maintenance of the salon. Students are also required to complete Functional Skills in English and Maths.
Entry Requirements
Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and successful interview with college staff
Assessment Methods
Practical observation, oral questioning and online testing, portfolio of set assignments and Functional Skills examinations
Qualifications
City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing and Functional Skills in English and Maths
Progression
Foundation Degree in Hairdressing, Employment in a salon as a Senior Stylist/ Supervisor or Employment as a Trainer/Assessor
