Course Description

This course provides opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes, essential for successful performance when caring for and working with children.

Students study a number of units including:

  • Communication with Adults and Children
  • Keeping children safe
  • Investigating rights and responsibilities at work.
  • In addition, students will gain a qualification in Functional Skills English and Maths.

    Entry Requirements

    No formal qualification required. Entry is based on previous experience, basic knowledge, interview and a desire to work in the Health, Social and Child Care sectors.
