Course Description

This course is a practical, ‘hands-on’ programme, taught in the context of real jobs and careers.

Students will study a number of units, including:

  • Communication in Health and Social Care
  • The Impact of diet on health
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Creative and Therapeutic activities
  • In addition, students will gain a qualification in Essential Skills English and Maths.

    Entry Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs Grade D or above
  • Level 1 English and/or Maths
  • Successful interview with college staff
  • Assessment Methods

  • Course work including written assignments, professional discussions and projects
  • Work Placement(s)
  • Examinations in Essential Skills
  • Qualifications

    BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care and Essential (Functional) Skills in English and Maths
