Course Description

This is an industry well sort after qualification equivalent to 3 A’ level subjects at A-C grades. The level 3 Diploma offers a licence to practice in Early years which means students will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.

The qualification offers up to 420 UCAS points at triple Distinction for those students who want to progress to Higher Education.

The course offers students an opportunity to work in some of the best and carefully selected schools, crèches and pre-schools in the borough as part of their employability practice.

Students are offered some of the best learning experiences including;

  • A trip to Disneyland Paris
  • Visits to London’s major child care exhibitions
  • Opportunities to meet and be addressed by some of the leading child care employers in the borough
  • Opportunities to volunteer in specialised child care areas such as SEN
  • Paediatric First Aid training
  • Entry Requirements

  • 3 GCSE grades A-D (including English and Maths at grade D or better
  • A clear DBS check and a good reference.

    CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care


    Progress into various jobs in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors such as;

  • Practitioner in day nurseries
  • Practitioner in nursery schools
  • Practitioner in reception classes in primary schools
  • Preschool worker
  • Home based child carer

  • Or progress to Higher Education to study among other courses;
