This part time course requires learners to be employed or working as a volunteer with children in Key stage 1 and 2. Learners attend college for 3 hrs per week term time only. View

Professional Certificate in Education(PCE)/Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

This course is designed for people who are teaching in the post-compulsory sector and do not have a full teaching qualification. The course, which lasts for 2 years, covers all aspects of teaching including lesson preparation, teaching strategies, course planning and curriculum development. Other initial teaching qualifications already achieved will be taken into account and credit given where appropriate. View

HNC in Built Environment

These programmes are designed to provide students with a high level of understanding of the design, function, construction and statutory requirements for buildings of all classes, and to prepare them for more advanced employment in the construction industry. The programme consists of a combination of core and optional courses which provide appropriate training in each case for learners with a technical employment in the field of Quantity Surveying – estimators and cost analysts, Architecture and Architectural Technicians, Building Surveying, Construction Management – site managers. The courses have been designed to include a high level of academic and practical element. Enrolment on the programme entitles students to become student members of the Chartered Institute of Building.
