Foundation Programme for Business and Tourism
This course is designed to provide an opportunity for people who have the potential to achieve, but have not yet reached A level or NVQ3 standard. Students will develop transferable skills, focussing on communication, improving their own learning, working with others and problem solving.
This extended programme of study is designed for learners who do not yet meet the standard entry requirements for BA (Hons) programmes. By completing this one year programme you are introduced to a variety of business- related subjects and can then progress onto a Degree in either business or tourism. The complete programme takes four years to achieve, which includes the relevant degree. Students who successfully complete their foundation year are guaranteed a place at the College on a BA programme.

Foundation Degree in Computing
The 2 year Foundation Degree in Computing aims to develop the knowledge and skills appropriate for employment as computing and IT professionals. It provides opportunities to study areas to current industry standards in a programme that is constantly being updated to cover new developments. The programme reflects current trends and skills needs in the sector.
It covers all the main branches of computing including programming using Java and C#, internet technologies, network systems, mobile devices, communication systems, UML in systems building and the use of SQL in database development. It also includes an element of work based learning which allows students to engage an employer and to add to further career development.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation Degree, students can progress into the final year of the BSc (Hons) Computing degree at the University of Greenwich.

Higher National Diploma in the Built Environment
This programme is designed to provide students with a high level of understanding of the design, function, construction and statutory requirements for buildings of all classes, and to prepare them for more advanced employment in the construction industry. The programme consists of a combination of core and optional courses which provide appropriate training in each case for learners with a technical employment in the field of Quantity surveying (estimators and cost analysts), Architecture and Architectural Technicians, Building Surveying and Construction Management (site managers).
The course has been designed to include a high level of both academic and practical work. Enrolment on the programme entitles students to become student members of the Chartered Institute of Building. The programme is also recognised nationally and internationally by employers in the construction industry.
