Course Description

This course has been designed to improve the plumbing skills of learners who have completed an intermediate level plumbing course at NVQ Level 2. The course combines theory with practical application using specialist tools and equipment, complex plumbing skills, gas installations, monitoring, maintenance, planning and designing and organising, etc.

Entry Requirements

In addition to a Level 2 Plumbing NVQ, you will need GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Maths and Grade D or above in 2 other subjects. Learners will need to pass an entry test and have a pre-entry interview with a course tutor plus a BPEC test.

Assessment Methods

Continual assessments throughout the course on quality development, improvement of products, water regulations, unvented hot water and gas regulations, etc.

Progression

Advanced plumbing work / operations including gas installation / management.

Qualifications

City and Guilds Advanced Plumbing Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, Technical Certificate Level 3, Key Skills Level 3 (Equivalent to As/A2 Level)
