The pathway is designed for those aged 19 or over who have an interest in entering teaching in either primary or secondary education. The aim is to give students the knowledge and confidence to study in higher education at degree or diploma level.
No formal qualification is required for Education Studies but there is a need to demonstrate a deep commitment to this type of study. Your initial assessment will include both Maths and English. You will also need relevant vocational experience or voluntary placement for the duration of your studies
We make the pathway assessments as supportive as possible. The forms of assessment will cover those found in university, which will be mainly continual assessment with some exams.
Degrees in either BED/BA QTS or Education Studies at the University of Greenwich or any other University. You could chose to defer your teaching studies so that you can concentrate on another degree then return to teaching by completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education [PGCE].
