This pathway has been introduced as a result of suggestions made by Kings College (University of London) and the University of Greenwich. The purpose is to extend the Health Care programme and cater for those students who want to work as health care professionals but not necessarily in Nursing or Midwifery (it is, of course, still possible to apply for Nursing and Midwifery with an Access qualification in this pathway).
No formal qualifications needed but students need to demonstrate a deep commitment to this type of study and complete a compulsory initial assessment in English and Maths. You will also need relevant vocational experience or voluntary placement for the duration of your studies
We make the Access experience as much like H.E as possible but with far more support. Assessment is through continual course work with some exams.
You could choose to progress on to the Diploma or Degree program in Nursing and Midwifery at Greenwich or other University. You can also consider a Degree in other health related subjects such as: Radiography, Paramedic, Physiotherapy, Forensic Science, etc
Access to HE Diploma
