These programmes are designed to provide students with a high level of understanding of the design, function, construction and statutory requirements for buildings of all classes, and to prepare them for more advanced employment in the construction industry. The programme consists of a combination of core and optional courses which provide appropriate training in each case for learners with a technical employment in the field of Quantity Surveying – estimators and cost analysts, Architecture and Architectural Technicians, Building Surveying, Construction Management – site managers. The courses have been designed to include a high level of academic and practical element. Enrolment on the programme entitles students to become student members of the Chartered Institute of Building. The programme is also recognised nationally and internationally by employers in the construction industry.
1 A Level or AVCE with a minimum of 60 UCAS points Ed Excel National Diploma or Certificate in Construction Mature candidates with relevant industrial experience All learners must be in relevant employment
